 Biology/Bioengineering Appointment Tutors

Bowen Jiang, Biology

Hi! I’m Bowen, and I’m a sophomore intending to major in Bioengineering. I’m originally from Chico, California, but I’ve lived in Sacramento for the past three years. I’m fascinated by the natural world, and I enjoy nature photography, hiking, snorkeling, and fishing as well as just plain reading about biology too. When I’m not somewhere outdoors, I like to compose and produce music, play table tennis, and cook. I look forward to working with you!

Javarcia Ivory, Biology

My name is Javarcia Ivory, and I’m a fifth-year student double majoring in Biology with a Biophysics/Biochemistry concentration and English with a Creative Writing concentration. Additionally, I’m a co-term student in the Epidemiology master’s program. I’m interested in health and medicine, biochemical research, and related topics. I’m originally from Clinton, Mississippi, and I love Southern food, spicy foods, and boba among other things. In my free time, I read and write poetry, jam to hip-hop/r&b, play Pokémon, and practice taekwondo.

Remi Akindele, Bioengineering and CME

My name is Remi Akindele and I’m a junior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’m majoring in bioengineering and am currently a subject tutor for the bioengineering core!
