Anusha Nadkarni

Anusha Nadkarni (she/her) is a freshman who is passionate about education equity and policy, restorative practices, and sexual violence prevention. She comes from Bloomington, Illinois, a small town in the heart of the Midwest. Anusha loves spending time in nature, her dog Aadi, and all types of music (especially when she can see it live!) 

At Stanford, Anusha is involved with the Stanford ACLU, the Stanford Decarceration Collective, Stanford Concert Network, and the Stanford Daily. As a woman of color from a predominantly White community, Anusha believes in the power of education and community in fostering equity and mobilizing justice. Outside of Stanford, Anusha is a volunteer tutor at DreamCatchers, leads antiracist curriculum development at student-led nonprofit Diversify Our Narrative, and supports with language and legal services at an immigration clinic back home.  

As a program coordinator, Anusha wants to support students in making the most of their academic opportunities at Stanford. No matter where you come from or where you're going, she looks forward to collaborating with you to make sure you can access educational services that fit your needs. In the future, Anusha hopes to work as an educator and later, work in education policy to support educational justice efforts.
