Undergraduate Freshman, Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity & Political Science

Nhi Nguyen

Program Coordinator

Nhi Nguyen (she/her/hers) is a freshman interested in double majoring in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and Political Science. Growing up in a predominantly white community in New Hampshire, she became aware of the structural oppression her communities have faced from constant microaggressions to the lack of representation in textbooks. Looking forward to starting her career at Stanford, she hopes to learn about her positionally as an Asian American and how she can further contribute to increasing ethnic studies legislation and educational equity in public school systems. With the program coordinator position, she hopes to be more involved with the Stanford community from an educational standpoint. This includes identifying the types of Stanford communities that need academic support and demystifying the stigma of receiving help.

You can catch her running around campus, exploring different cities with her friends, and reading Celeste Ng!
